Research Interests:
He has long been devoted himself to the research of soil erosion and soil and water conservation of the south of China. The mechanisms, processes and predictions of red and purple soil erosion are his primary research contents. And he carried out rather extensive studies on many aspects, such as the mutual relation between structure and erosion of red soil, the structure and function of sloping agro-forestry systems, soil degradation by erosion and its control, the quality management of cultivated land and agricultural non-point source pollution control, etc. He also took charge of more than 20 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation Emphases Item of China and the National Science and Technology Planning Project. Besides, he has published more than one hundred research papers in academic journals such as Ecological Modeling, Soil & Tillage Research and Catena, etc.
