Research Interests:
His research focuses on eco-adaptation and eco-physiological of native and introduced grass species to the semiarid Loess Plateau, and also natural grassland community and dominant species response to rainfall change and fertilization. He started taking swithgrass as one of the main research species since 2000, and has systematically investigated its growth and physiology under different densities, water availability and fertilization conditions.
