  His research interests include global ecology, global carbon cycles, ecological modeling and simulation, and impacts of global climate change and ecosystem disturbances on spatial-temporal dynamics of ecosystem productivity, structure and function at both regional and global scales.
  Professional Activities:
  Dr. Peng is QianRen professor of College of Forestry, Northwest A & F University, Yangling. He is currently serving as the Council of the Ecological Society of America (ESA), USA; the Asian Ecology Section (AES) Chair of Ecology Society of American (ESA), the board director of Chinese Ecologist Association Oversea (SINO-ECO), USA; and the Associate Editors for JGR-Biogeosciences, Ecosystem Health and Sustainability, Annual Review &Research in Biology and Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology. And  the member of Scientific Steering Committee for the joint Center for Global Change Science at Tsinghua University (2011-) and China Flux Observation Consortium (2014-).
