  Research Interests:

  Virtualization as innovation tool in food engineering. Design of food processes and systems assisted by virtualization. Food processes assisted by electromagnetic fields (radio-frequency, microwaves, ohmic heating).

  Guest Editor of the Journal of Food Engineering,

  Special Issue on Virtualization in Food Engineering.

  Peer reviewer for numerous scientific journals and governmental funding agencies.

  Consultant for multi-national companies on innovative food processes.

  Member of various scientific technical committees for state and federal regulatory agencies
