Cereal improvement, biodiversity conservation, pre-breeding, sustainable agricultural development

Breeding of cereal varieties including the release of more than 24 varieties of barley, bread wheat, durum wheat and triticale
Germplasm enhancement through interspecific crosses in durum and bread wheat
Promoting on-farm/in situ conservation of dryland agrobiodiversity
Collect and ex situ conservation of genetic resources and management of ICARDA genebank
More than 127 publications including 63 in refereed journals
Editor in several Journals and manager of several regional and global projects
