Studies of intelligent systems have made significant progress in theoretical development and practical applications to various agricultural engineering systems. In this talk, a very brief introduction to advanced intelligent systems approaches will be given. After that, several practical applications in precision agriculture and facility agriculture will be presented, such as intelligent measurement, monitoring and analysis of livestock odors using wireless e-nose networks, intelligent greenhouses, and intelligent robotic systems for agricultural harvesting.
