He has carried out research at several organizations in Australia, China and New Zealand, which include the School of Mathematical Sciences, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane; the Institute of Sustainable Irrigated Agriculture, Victoria, Australia; Central Queensland University, Rockhampton; the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, ANU, Canberra; the Crown Research Institute of New Zealand, and the Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Research Interests:
Hydrology and environmental fluid mechanics, including fluid mechanics and entrained material transport in overland flow and in the subsurface, new approaches to flow in porous media: anomalous flow; swelling media, and applications of fractional partial differential equations in environmental modeling; Modeling hydrological and bio-geophysical processes, including integrated analysis of climatic-water-plant-land systems, innovative irrigation, water resources management, soil erosion and sediment transport: at different scales, inland and coastal regions, and water flow and solute movement overland and in the subsurface.
